71. The Axeman of New Orleans

In this week's episode, we butcher (pun intended) the story of the Axeman of New Orleans — a guy who somehow managed to terrify an entire city with an axe, a badly written letter, and a weird obsession with jazz. Between 1918 and 1919, the Axeman went on a spree of breaking into people's homes, murdering innocent grocers, and confusing the hell out of law enforcement.
