Between 1997 and 1999, Ángel Maturino Reséndiz crisscrossed the United States by freight train, murdering at least nine people in their homes, all located near railroad tracks. Dubbed “The Railroad Killer,” he left behind a trail of victims brutally beaten, raped, or stabbed, often using whatever weapons he could find inside their homes. For years, law enforcement struggled track him, until one day a national manhunt was finally brought to an end in the most unsuspecting way possible.
