Friday April 12th, 2019 Dallas Texas 22-year-old black transgender female Muhlaysia "Lay" Booker is visiting the Royal Crest Apartments a complex located in the suburb of Oak Cliff Texas, just 10 miles from Dallas. Muhlaysia "Lay" Booker was visciously accosted, assaulted, and attacked by a group of black cisgender men, by the grace of her higher power a group of black cisgender females rescued Booker from the near fatal experience. Muhlaysia would begin to physically heal, but emotionally it was a work in progress. She would bravely address her attackers at a rally for Trans Visibility, and become a global icon for trans justice. Just 5-6 weeks later after her violent attack on Saturday May 18th, 2019.
