Years ago, Muriel came across an obscure blog about a confusing 911 call: a young woman called the police and proceeded to talk incoherently to the dispatcher (and the men in the room with her) before she ran into the night wearing flip flops. She pounded on strangers' front doors until someone answered - the last person known to have seen her alive. Then, in 2025, Muriel pressed play on a hit new Netflix series about the Gilgo Beach Four and the Long Island Serial Killer.... and the whole thing began with that same 911 call.
