The Cult of Kellogg: Cornflakes, Celibacy, and Colonics??

Hi friends, happy Wednesday!  The other day I was craving a big fat bowl of Honey Smacks cereal with whole milk. When I was a kid, that was luxury to me. But I hadn’t had them in forever so I didn’t even know if they were still around.  You know me - I googled “HONEY SMACKS… DISCONTINUED??” Good news, they’re around. Bad news… I found out about Kellogg’s, the company that makes them, has been in some hot water lately.  We all know inflation sucks and it’s affecting *everything*, especially food prices. Tons of families across America are struggling to put food on the table.  So the media asked a Kelloggs CEO for his reaction on that. And his response? He essentially said, [SARCASTIC] “MAYBE THEY SHOULD EAT CEREAL FOR DINNER.”  Awkward. But this did get me thinking - why *do* we eat cereal for breakfast? Well I looked into it, and I stumbled into the world of John Harvey Kellogg, the man behind Kelloggs. And my mind was blown.  Because behind that sweet little box of Honey Smacks is a freaky origin story.
