This episode originally aired on August 10, 2023. At around 3:30 am on March 9, 2019, 25-year-old Aubrey Dameron left her mother’s house near Grove, Oklahoma. She told her family that she was going to meet someone. Aubrey hasn’t been seen since. This is a case full of confusing leads. Allegations that Aubreywas kidnapped and being held for ransom, an alleged murder confession, andevidence that, in my opinion, needs another look. For years, Aubrey’s family has searched high and low, but no signof her has been found. They are desperate for answers. If you listen to my other podcast, Disappearances, you know thatI’ve discussed Aubrey’s case before. I did a joint episode discussing Aubreyand the disappearance of Anthonette Cayedito with a heavy focus on the epidemicof Missing and Murdered Indigenous people. It is a very informative episodethat is very close to my heart. So, if you’re looking for more information onthis epidemic, I absolutely recommend listening to that. Now we worked on that episode back in 2021, and I haven’t beenable to stop thinking about these cases, and since then, there have been someupdates in Aubrey’s case. So, I thought I would try to bring Aubrey back intothe spotlight and draw even more attention to her case with a full-lengthepisode on just Aubrey. At the time of her disappearance, Aubrey, a 5 foot 9, 130-poundCherokee woman with brown hair and eyes, was wearing a black leather jacket, black top, black skirt, black knitted hose, and black boots. She has atriquetra symbol tattoo on her back and another tattoo reading"Shorty" (her nickname) on her upper left arm. Anyone with information about Aubrey’s case is asked to call theFBI at (918) 664-3300 or the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service at (918) 207-3800.
