A mail carrier in trouble with his supervisors opened fire in a crowded post office on August 21st 1986, killing 14 workers and injuring 7 others before killing himself with a bullet in the head. The police said the carrier, Patrick Henry Sherrill, of Oklahoma City, burst into post office around 6:45 A.M., pulled at least three pistols from a mail pouch and, without a word, started shooting at his fellow employees.  It was the nation's worst shooting since July 18, 1984, when 21 people, including the gunman, died at a McDonald's restaurant in San Ysidro, California, and it helped coin the term "going postal".    Check out our other shows!: Cryptic Soup w/ Thena & Kylee Strange & Unexplained True Crime Guys YouTube EVERYTHING TRUE CRIME GUYS:   https://linktr.ee/Truecrimeguysproductions True Crime Guys Music: True Crime Guys Music on Spotify OhMyGaia.com Code: Crimepine Patreon.com/truecrimeguys Patreon.com/sandupodcast Merch: truecrimeguys.threadless.com   Sources: https://www.nytimes.com/1986/08/21/us/mail-carrier-kills-14-in-post-office-then-himself.html https://www.reddit.com/r/masskillers/comments/f3yuwh/one_mans_massacre_an_extremely_thorough/
