Episode 183: The Disappearance of Doreen Marfeo

On this week's episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz talk about the mysterious case of the disappearance of Doreen Marfeo- a tidy, punctual, well-liked woman who apparently changed drastically before she went missing. Doreen had been in a struggling marriage for 12 years, and according to her husband, Steve Marfeo, she had become a nervous wreck who couldn't talk about her problems and suddenly quit her job. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are extremely suspicious, and the police are convinced that Steven had something to do with it. Unfortunately, nearly a decade after her disappearance, Steven shot and killed an ex-girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself, leaving the true answers to Doreen's whereabouts buried with him.
