On this week’s episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz put their scientist hats on and discuss the life and legacy of a great New England scientist, Eugene Mallove. A highly educated man with degrees in both aeronautical and aerospace engineering, as well as environmental health sciences, Eugene became fascinated with the concept of cold fusion and dedicated a large portion of his life trying to find support for this research. Unfortunately, in May of 2004, Eugene was found dead in the driveway of his childhood home, which he was cleaning out after prior tenants had caused disrepair. It took over five years and a false arrest of two men to find the real perpetrators, who were all tried for their crime of the brutal murder of a genius.
