On the evening of Saturday, July 21st, 1984, the local Catholic residents of the tiny town of Ronan, Montana, all gathered at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate mass with their new priest, Father John Kerrigan, who had just been assigned to their parish.Ā  He never showed.
