Throughout the 1920's, in Prohibition Era Chicago,  gangs from the north side and south side continuously fought over turf, whiskey and control of the cities most lucrative rackets. Law enforcement generally looked the other way and the public looked upon gangsters of the Era as mythical heroes. All of that changed on February 14th, 1929 when Southside leader Al Capone decided to rid himself of his enemies in one final hail of bullets, an event forever known as the St. Valentine's Day Massacre.
