At 8:59 PM on November 4th, 2018, 27-year-old Jose Barrera placed a call to 911 from his girlfriend’s house at 4450 Woodlet Ct. in Cumming, Georgia. His girlfriend’s aunt had awoken to find a woman in white onesie pajamas lying face down and motionless under the back porch about 30 minutes earlier. On the 911 call, Jose told first responders that the woman was not breathing and that there was a small cut on her wrist that he believed may have been self-inflicted.
