True Crime S3 Episode 20: The Stories of Marsha P. Johnson and Dorian Corey

We are going to be talking about two trailblazing Black transgender women. Remember, Black queer people are who we have to thank for camp fashion, reading others to filth, and spilling the tea. I do want to preface this episode by saying that I will be using language used by drag queens and trans women from the 1960s to the 1990s, which is different from the politically correct language we use today. The women I’m going to talk about used she/her pronouns and today would be considered transgender or gender nonconforming, but I do plan on using the words they used to identify themselves at the time they were alive.After the New York Pride Parade in 1992, a body was found floating in the Hudson River. It was determined to be that of 46-year-old Marsha P.
