Season 2
Episode 12

How many people were decapitating children in the 1980's?? It was a cool February day in St. Louis in 1983, and two teens were exploring the basement of a vacant apartment building. It was just the afternoon, but the abandoned boiler room was fully dark. One of the boys sparked a cigarette lighter to assist in their search for copper. Instead, they found something far more gruesome. Lying in the corner was a partially clothed body, later determined to be that of a child. Her wrists were bound behind her, and her head was missing. It has been over forty years and the child is still unidentified, and so is the suspect. And her head has never been found. Tune in to Nightshift and listen to the story of the St. Louis Jane Doe. Andrea Up Late and Brian Sanders discuss the scene, the ongoing investigation, the powers of Parabon Labs and genetic genealogy, and just how rampant crime was in that area at that time.
