The Dark Story behind Margot Kidder | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 136) Margaret Ruth Kidder was a Canadian–American actress and activist, who amassed several film and television credits in her career spanning five decades, including her best known portrayal of Lois Lane in the original Superman films (1978–1987). She received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder in 1988, which she rejected at the time, and after many personal struggles, died on the 13th May 2018, due to an alcohol and drug overdose, which was later ruled a suicide.
