Chernobyl | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 167) On 26th April 1986, the No. 4 reactor of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, located near Pripyat, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union (now Ukraine), exploded. With dozens of direct casualties, it is one of the biggest nuclear energy accidents ever rated at the maximum severity on the International Nuclear Event Scale. The response involved more than 500,000 personnel and cost an estimated 18 billion rubles. It remains both the worst nuclear disaster and the most expensive disaster in history, with an estimated cost of US$700 billion. --- Marks Unexplained World  Socials:  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/755482988915649/  Instagram: Mark Hughes (@mark_the_medium__) • Instagram photos and videos  ---  Podcast Description & Credits www.hauntedresearchcentre.com www.frightnights.co.uk --- Credits...
