Episode 62: Arkansas Folktales Volume Three

In this episode, Amber & Lisa discuss three different, very intriguing and old Arkansas Folktales.The first folktale is set in Helena Arkansas in the late 1800's, the tale is about the dog Pedro (an Irish Setter) who is said to sit at his deceased owners grave until he himself passes away two years later. His owner, Dr. Moore, died by homicide from another Dr. that was acquitted on the charges based on self-defense. Listen and you decide.The second tale, is located in "Ghost Hollow"; which is located allegedly in our Western region near Fort Smith area. According to lore the area received it's name from a bride that caught on fire on her wedding night.The third tale is about the origins of Pettit Jean Mountain and the tale of Pettit Jean or Little John.
