Florian Sohnke will return to Briefing with the Chief to discuss Cook County’s new State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke, the retreating Progressive Movement in Chicago, sky high property taxes in Chicago and the lack of faith in Chicago’s Schools.Judge O’Neill Burke was recently elected to replace progressive Prosecutor Kim Foxx. She represents a victory for public safety. The high crime visited on Cook County under Kim Foxx has helped to sour public support for progressive policies in Chicago. Mayor Brandon Johnson has been thwarted by residents, as he made several attempts to increase property taxes to fill Chicago’s funding shortfall of up to $1 Billion Dollars. Funding for Chicago’s schools and public safety hang in the balance.I will query Florian Sohnke regarding these and other issues taking the wind out of the sails of the Windy City.
