In March 2025 the Harris County Texas Sheriff’s Department experienced four current and former staff members commit suicide. In 2022 the United States experienced 184 police suicides in 2022. The US has seen a dramatic increase in police suicides since 2016 when 152 Officers took their lives. This coincided with the anti-police narrative from the political left, decreasing staffing for police, lower pay and the “Reimagining” of a functional Criminal Justice system.On today’s show I will discuss the issue of police suicide with Retired Sergeant and Author, of the book Bro:ken, Danny Coon.
