Major shout out to Adrian Nina who gave me the idea to research this great story. The Fighting Lady (CV-10) U.S.S. Yorktown served in the Pacific theater from 1943 to 1970. It has sat in Charleston Harbour since 1975 in its new mission as a Naval Museum.
