On Christmas Eve 2002, Laci Peterson disappeared while walking her golden retriever, McKenzie, in her quiet Modesto neighborhood. She was eight months pregnant with the couple's first child, Conner. Her husband, Scott, decided because of the rainy weather to change his plans that morning from a round of golf to a day on the bay - breaking in his new fishing boat.
