Today’s case is a difficult one on a number of levels. Not only was our victim killed by someone in her care, but she was also killed at her place of work, which she loved. What is also so incredibly heart-breaking, is that she was just about to start a new adventure in life... The murder of Ann Maguire was a tragic loss for friends, family and a huge community of those who's life Ann had touched. What is most unbelievable in this case, is that her violent murder was committed by one of her 15 year old students, while she taught a lesson.The Ann Maguire Arts Educational Fund, set up in May 2014, has provided bursaries and funding through music, drama, language and dance – all subjects that were close to Ann’s heart.
