Today’s case was a murder case of a child, in broad daylight. As with any case, it’s a murder which should never have happened, but this case was particularly harrowing as it was simply a boy who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, shattering the lives of his family and those involved forever more.This tragedy sparked the launch of a charity - Liverpool Unites - by the ECHO, which raised £100,000 to build a community centre in Croxteth.The Rhys Jones Complex was launched in August 2013 and helps hundreds of children every week.
