In 1998, Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten, and left tied to a fence in the middle of the prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming. From June 19 to 29, at the historic Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco, you can see a special production of The Laramie Project, a play about the Matthew Shepard murder and its aftermath. For this special episode, we had the chance to chat with the directors of this production: River Bermudez Sanders and Elio Amador. They discuss the crime, the play, and this very unique moment in theater and the arts. The Laramie Project was originally created by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of Tectonic Theater Project.
