I think its because, sleeping in your bed in the comfort of your home is where you’re supposed to feel most safe. Ironically, its often the place small children feel most afraid and vulnerable.  In the early morning hours of the fourth of July in 2002, four year old Dannarriah was put to bed. Inside of her small Orange, Texas home was her mother, siblings, and cousins.  It should have been a routine night, but when her mother awoke, she was gone. Days later, her body would be found in the nearby community of Pleasure Island, and it was clear her last moments were horrific.
