February 24th, 1978, a group of five men, known as “the boys”, went missing after watching a basketball game in Chico, California. Each of the five men had either a mild intellectual disability or mental illness, and had found a community with eachother along with a local basketball team. However, after attending the game in Chico, they drove 50 miles the opposite direction from their homes, never to be seen alive again. Eventually, four of their bodies ended up being discovered in the woods of Yuba county. But one man’s remains have still yet to be discovered.
