In 2017, Jon and Carie opened The Return to Nature Funeral Home in Colorado. As a third generation in the funeral business, Return to Nature focused on green burials for those wanting a more nature friendly burial. In spring of 2023, the funeral home’s Penrose location started to look a little rough and also started to smell. When Jon is a no show to show DORA around, police get a warrant and no one expects to find what they did.
