Welcome back to True Detectives , the only podcast brave enough to sniff out the unbelievable truths hiding in plain sight! Today's episode? Buckle up buttercups, because we're diving headfirst into a case that'll make you howl with laughter... and maybe a little bit of existential dread.Imagine this: A small town gripped by FEAR. Werewolf sightings are terrorizing the locals, trash cans are shredded, and the full moon is suddenly everyone's least favourite celestial body. Who do they call? Not Ghostbusters, folks. They call Detective Miller. Now, Detective Miller isn't exactly your grizzled, seen-it-all gumshoe. Our boy Miller has a secret, a crippling, knee-knocking, cold-sweat-inducing phobia... of DOGS! Yes, you heard that right. The man tasked with hunting a mythical beast is more terrified of a Pomeranian than the creature from the Black Lagoon. But here's where it gets truly bonkers. Miller, despite wanting to flee faster than Scooby-Doo from a haunted house, stumbles upon a clue. The attacks only happen when the moon is full, and nobody's actually getting seriously hurt. Could it be... gasp... something other than a bloodthirsty monster? Our unlikely hero's investigation takes him to the town's quirky vet, Dr. Evans, who drops a truth bomb: wolves are just big, easily spooked pack animals. Spooked? Just like our dear Detective Miller eyeing the vet's Great Dane like it's Cujo's cousin! Then comes the twist that'll make your jaw drop. The "beast" sketch? Not an attack stance, but a sign of a terrified, cowering creature!Get this: Hollow Creek wasn't facing a werewolf invasion, but a big, scared, lost German Shepherd. Miller, armed with a squeaky toy and a book on canine body language (talk about a detective's toolkit upgrade!), manages to talk down the trembling canine under the harvest moon. No silver bullets, just a squeaky ball and a calm voice. The town breathes a collective sigh of relief, the werewolf headlines vanish, and our phobic detective somehow becomes a dog whisperer in training, assisting Dr. Evans at the clinic. He might still jump at a sudden bark, but Detective Miller learned that sometimes the scariest monsters are just misunderstood and very, very furry. It's a tale of fear, misdirection, and a whole lot of tail-wagging... or maybe just nervous trembling on Miller's part.#truecrimepodcast #werewolf #dogsoftiktok #fear #mysterysolved #smalltowncrime #detective #funny #unbelievable #animalrescue #hollowcreek #caninebehavior #germanShepherd #phobia #squeakytoy This is a public episode.
