Good morning, this is your Colorado Springs police report for the week of October 17th through 21st, 2025.The Colorado Springs Police Department made a significant arrest this week related to multiple bank robberies. Maurice Keener, age 47, was taken into custody early Tuesday morning near Interquest Parkway. Keener was wanted in connection with two separate bank robberies this month. The first incident occurred on October 8th in the downtown area, while the second took place on October 20th on South Cascade Avenue, where an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Police successfully linked both crimes to Keener before making the arrest.On Monday morning, a bank robbery occurred in downtown Colorado Springs. The suspect fled the scene, and as of Monday, no arrests had been made in that case. Police continue to investigate this incident.In other law enforcement activity this week, multiple arrests were made on outstanding warrants. Noel Torres was contacted and arrested on a failure to appear warrant. Jason Wood was also taken into custody on a criminal mischief warrant with damages under three hundred dollars.A motor vehicle theft case resulted in the arrest of Jose Luis Pacheco Vasquez. Police stopped a truck towing a trailer that had no license plates on Interstate 76. The investigation revealed the truck had been stolen from Denver in May 2025. Vasquez faces charges including second degree motor vehicle theft, driving with a revoked license, and possession of a financial device.A high-speed pursuit occurred on Interstate 76 when a male juvenile was traveling at 110 miles per hour in a posted 75 mile per hour zone. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver failed to stop, leading to a pursuit that continued into Lochbuie before the vehicle finally pulled over at mile marker 27. The juvenile faces charges of vehicular eluding among other offenses.Katelynn Low was arrested for theft valued between two thousand and five thousand dollars after officers responded to a report of a stolen electric bicycle. The investigation led to Low's identification and subsequent arrest.The Colorado State Patrol is seeking public assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a serious hit and run incident on southbound US Highway 285 near Jefferson on Sunday night around 11:45 PM. A 40 year old woman from Denver was attempting to flag down help after her 2002 Toyota Tacoma had crashed and rolled over when she was struck by what authorities believe is a 2011 through 2014 black Volvo S60 with temporary license plate tags and possible damage to the passenger side mirror. The woman was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
