Tulsa Police arrested an alleged serial shoplifter wanted on multiple larceny warrants after a series of thefts at the Sunglass Hut in Woodland Hills Mall. Officers say the suspect, Andre Doyle, repeatedly returned to the store and took sunglasses on several occasions. Doyle was tracked down at the Tradewind’s Hotel on East Skelly Drive and taken into custody without incident. He currently remains in the Tulsa County Jail facing several charges and had outstanding felony warrants in Tulsa County, with additional warrants declined for extradition by Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties. This case is now closed according to Tulsa Police.Tulsa County sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7800 block of North Highway 75, resulting in the discovery of a stolen vehicle. A search of the car uncovered approximately 63 grams of methamphetamine and several bottles containing assorted pills. The driver, identified as 42-year-old Bobby Eugene Cabe, was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of possession with intent to distribute, trafficking in methamphetamine, driving under suspension, and possession of a stolen vehicle. The case is now closed with the suspect in custody.South Tulsa police are investigating a shooting incident that took place Sunday morning near the London Square Shopping Center at 5700 South Lewis Avenue. Officers originally received a call from the Walmart at East 81st Street, but the victim was located across the street at Wing Stop and later determined the incident happened in the shopping center nearby. The victim described the suspect as a large male of unknown race, wearing a maroon sweater, and reportedly acting erratically and waving his arms. The victim stated he turned away on his bicycle upon seeing a firearm, at which point a shot was fired, ricocheting and striking the victim in the torso before becoming lodged in his upper right arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.The past week in Tulsa shows continued property crime with a focus on retail theft and auto-related offenses, alongside an isolated shooting in a high-traffic area. Law enforcement remains active in vehicle theft and drug interdiction efforts.
