Additional citations included 30 for driving under suspension, 12 for having an open alcohol container, 10 for minor in possession of alcohol, 15 for no seat belt, and 10 for improper child restraint. Troopers also provided 166 motorist assists throughout the weekend.An incident occurred on June 23 on Interstate 80 near 50th Street in Omaha, where a Nebraska State Trooper’s patrol unit was struck by a large truck while responding to a crash. The trooper sustained injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
