The victim reported seeing an unknown subject breaking the window of a parked SUV and removing a backpack before leaving in an older model sedan. No injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation.On Tuesday afternoon in the South Omaha area around 24th and Q, authorities responded to an alleged assault involving two adult males outside a grocery store. Police say an argument escalated physically; one man sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. No arrests were made, but officers are reviewing surveillance footage.Wednesday evening, a reported theft occurred at a retail establishment near Westroads Mall. Store personnel observed a group of three males allegedly concealing merchandise and leaving without payment. Responding officers recovered some of the items discarded in the parking lot. Investigation is ongoing and police are reviewing security footage to identify the individuals involved.Also on Wednesday, law enforcement responded to a shots fired incident in the Florence neighborhood near 30th and State. Multiple callers reported hearing gunfire shortly after 9 p.m. Officers recovered several shell casings at the scene. No injuries or property damage were reported. The investigation remains open.Thursday afternoon in Midtown at the intersection of 40th and Dodge, emergency crews responded to an alleged hit-and-run involving a bicyclist. Witnesses stated a dark-colored SUV collided with the cyclist and left the area heading eastbound. Paramedics transported the injured cyclist for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Omaha police continue to seek witnesses.Friday night, officers were dispatched to the Old Market near 12th and Howard regarding a reported disorderly conduct incident outside a bar. According to witnesses, a group of individuals engaged in a physical altercation. Police separated the parties on arrival and cited two adults for disorderly conduct. No significant injuries were reported.Saturday, police in the Millard area near 144th and Q responded to a residential burglary alarm. The homeowner reported observing a subject attempting entry through a basement window and fleeing after being spotted. The attempted burglary is under investigation.Sunday morning, an alleged vandalism incident was reported at a city park in the Dundee area. Park staff discovered spray-painted graffiti on benches and a restroom facility.
