The public is reminded to exercise caution at intersections, particularly during peak traffic hours.Due to high request volumes, the Aurora Police Records Section advises residents that processing times for Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act requests will vary. The Records Section is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, excluding city holidays. For 2025 requests, costs begin at $11 for the first 10 pages and $0.25 for each additional page, with additional charges applied for redaction and certification.Residents seeking police reports can submit requests through the department's NextRequest Portal. The Aurora Police Department notes that some case information may not be immediately available for release, particularly for open investigations or cases that require authorization from the investigating detective or District Attorney's Office.The department reminds the community that criminal justice records cannot be used for business solicitation purposes, as prohibited by Colorado law.
