Last week in Aurora, Colorado, multiple types of incidents were reported across various neighborhoods. In the vicinity of Sable Boulevard and Colfax Avenue, police responded to an alleged robbery involving two suspects who reportedly displayed a weapon and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers have released descriptions of the suspects and are seeking public assistance to identify two males, one described as approximately 5’10”, wearing a gray hoodie and black jeans, and another about 6’1”, wearing a red jacket and carrying a black backpack. This incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact Aurora Police.In the Centrepoint neighborhood, a reported motor vehicle theft occurred near Centrepoint Drive and Mississippi Avenue. The incident involved an unknown suspect allegedly stealing an unattended parked vehicle overnight. No arrests have been made and the case is currently under investigation by the Aurora Auto Theft Unit.Near Fitzsimons, an aggravated assault was reported at the intersection of Peoria Street and 23rd Avenue. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries following an altercation with a known individual. Officers have made an arrest in this case and are not seeking additional suspects.In the southern Havana Heights area, officers responded to reports of shots fired around the intersection of S. Havana Street and E. Iliff Avenue. According to witnesses, several rounds were discharged during a suspected drive-by shooting. No injuries were reported. The suspect vehicle, described as a dark-colored sedan, was last seen traveling westbound on Iliff. Aurora Police are actively investigating and request that anyone with video footage or additional information regarding this event come forward.In Saddle Rock, a residential burglary was reported in the early hours near Smoky Hill Road and E-470. Unknown suspect(s) allegedly entered a home through an unlocked door and removed electronics and personal items. No arrests have been made as of this report and the incident remains under investigation by the Aurora Police burglary unit.At the intersection of Quincy Avenue and Buckley Road, a traffic stop related to suspected narcotics activity resulted in one adult male being taken into custody after officers recovered quantities of illicit substances during the stop. Charges have been filed and the case is considered cleared by arrest.In North Aurora near Montview Boulevard and Nome Street, there was a reported incident of catalytic converter theft from multiple parked vehicles. Officers have noted an increase in these types of thefts this past week and are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.No fatal incidents or shootings with injuries have been confirmed across the city’s districts during this reporting period, based on currently available, publicly released police statements.A notable trend this week is the uptick in property crimes, especially vehicle-related thefts and catalytic converter incidents in multiple neighborhoods.
