Throughout the week of July 21st to July 27th, Henderson police responded to a range of reported incidents across city neighborhoods. On July 21st near Gibson Road and Paseo Verde Parkway, officers responded to a reported alleged vehicle burglary that occurred overnight. The window of a parked car was smashed and personal items were taken. The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.On July 22nd, around the Sunset Station area, police responded to a reported alleged shoplifting. According to initial reports, security observed an adult male suspect leaving the premises with unpaid merchandise. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The involved parties were separated by officers on scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, approximately 5’8”, medium build, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect left in an older model silver sedan. Police ask listeners with surveillance or information call authorities as the case remains open.Later that afternoon, in the area of Horizon Ridge Parkway and Stephanie Street, a residential burglary was reported. According to police, forced entry was observed at the rear entry of the residence and jewelry was missing. The case is under active investigation.On the night of July 24th in the Whitney Ranch neighborhood, Henderson police responded to an alleged aggravated assault in which two victims reported being approached by an unknown male. One victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene. The suspect fled before officers arrived and the case remains under investigation.On July 25th, near Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway, a catalytic converter theft was alleged from a parked vehicle during early morning hours. Police are investigating related incidents in the area but no suspects have been identified.On July 26th in the Anthem Highlands area, police responded to an alleged attempted residential burglary. The homeowner reported seeing two individuals attempting to gain entry just after 3:00 a.m. on home security video before fleeing on foot. Detectives continue to canvass the neighborhood for further leads.On July 27th in the MacDonald Ranch vicinity, police responded to a reported alleged vandalism incident at a construction site. Graffiti was discovered on multiple walls.
