Disappearing is terrifying. But disappearing at sea? That takes fear to an entirely different level. You're surrounded by nothing but endless open water. You're on a massive cruise ship, isolated, contained, and yet somehow, you're just... gone. No trace. No explanation. That’s exactly what happened to Amy Lynn Bradley in March of 1998. At just 23 years old, Amy was on a family vacation aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise liner. After a night of dancing and celebration with her brother, Amy vanished. She stepped into the warm Caribbean night  and was never seen again. In the decades since, her disappearance has become one of the most baffling and haunting maritime mysteries in modern history. This is a story full of twists, questions, and heartbreak. And we will be diving into Amy’s life, her disappearance, the investigation, the theories that have come about over the years and even errors people believe that those involved initially had made. Part one of this two part series will be released tomorrow mainly anywhere you listen to podcasts with part two coming out on Tuesday. If you’re familiar with this story, let us know what you think happened in the comments. Was Amy trying to start over — living freely somewhere in the Caribbean? Or was she taken — pulled into a world far darker than anyone could have imagined?   SOURCES: Netflix – Amy Bradley is Missing – Episodes 1-3 Wikipedia – Disappearance of Amy Bradley - Disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley - Wikipedia The Roanoke Times – Family turns to Internet in search for daughter – March 31, 1998 Richmond Times-Dispatch – Missing woman’s family sets up fund – April 20, 1998 Richmond Times-Dispatch – Disappearance to be on ‘Most Wanted’ – Jon Pope – April 24, 1998 Richmond Times-Dispatch – Legal Notices – March 7, 1999 The Free Lance-Star – Overboard or overlooked? – Norman Serphos – March 27, 1998 Richmond Times-Dispatch – Judge revokes man’s bond – Tom Campbell – June 20, 2002 The Northside Sun – Slave trade makes the Caribbean islands a dangerous place – Dan Hanchey – October 20, 2005 Evening Herald – Fifteen passengers vanish from cruise ships in two years – Caroline Crawford -  January 6, 2006 Designertale – Caribbean IP Activity Sparks New Hope in Amy Bradley Disappearance Case – Anusree – August 1, 2025 - Caribbean IP Activity Sparks New Hope in Amy Bradley Disappearance Case - Designertale LADBible – Amy Bradley’s brother finally reveals why family declared her dead despite thinking she’s alive – Michael Slavin – August 7, 2025 - Amy Bradley's family reveal why she was declared dead despite thinking she's alive UNILAD – Surprising twist in Amy Bradley case as Kim Kardashian ‘wants to solve it’ – Ellie Kemp – August 15, 2025 - Amy Bradley case given boost as Kim Kardashian 'wants to solve it' The Mirror US – Amy Bradley’s brother vows never to cruise again and says others ‘wouldn’t if they knew why’ – Ayaan Ali – August 16, 2025 -
