Mica Miller, a 30-year-old woman from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, died on April 27, 2024, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at Lumber River State Park in North Carolina, as confirmed by the Robeson County Medical Examiner. She was in the process of divorcing her husband, John-Paul “JP” Miller, a pastor at Solid Rock Church, amid allegations of abuse and coercive control. Mica had filed for divorce days before her death and reported to police that she feared for her life, claiming JP was abusive.
