Paula Hounslea had spent the evening of the 21st August 2009 enjoying a Chinese meal with her family for her mums birthday. The next day, she told her 18 year old daughter she was going to her best friends house, later that day, her daughter received a text from Paula to say she was staying at Vicky's house for a few days. However, Vicky also received a text from Paula. It was soon established that Paula had not been to Vicky's on that day and she was reported as missing. Due to having Bipolar disorder, she was graded as high risk and police began their searches which spread as far as Spain. Despite efforts by the police and her family, Paula was never found. In May 2012, the skeletal body of a woman was found in a fire pit by a disused train line - it was confirmed to be the body of Paula. Items found by her body did lead to two people close to Paula being arrested, however, as of today no one has been charged with her murder.
