This weeks episodes dives in to one of Police Scotland's longest running unsolved murders.Alistair Wilson was a devoted husband and father to his two boys, the family lived in the quaint and quiet town of Nairn in the Scottish Highlands. After what had been your normal family Sunday on the 28th November 2004, a knock on the door of 10 Crescent Road turned it into a Sunday of nightmares. The unknown visitor asked for Alistair, handed him a blue envelope and shot him dead. The envelope was taken by the killer when he left, and Alistair's wife Veronica found her husband barely alive on their doorstep. With this case remaining cold after 21 years, there are still plenty of answers that needs questions - for example, who is Paul? What was the blue envelope for? Does this case have ties to the IRA? How does BBC Scotland's radio show play a part? The cold case is currently going under a re-investigation by a team of 37, hopefully they will find the answers Alistair's family so desperately want and need.If you have a story in mind that you would like featured, please email sslpod.kd@gmail.com, you can also find me on instagram and TikTokIf you would like to sponsor the podcast, you can do so via buymeacoffee Hosted on Acast.
