In the early evening of July 29, 2008, officers with the Mobile County Police Department entered traveling preacher Anthony Hopkins’ home on Rylands Street through the unlocked back door. The house was quiet and exceptionally tidy. Officers made their way through the home until they stopped in front of a door leading to the utility room. They opened the door and were met with the unmistakable smell of decomposition. Officers went to the chest freezer, opened it, and found a large block of ice with a hand protruding from the mass. Was this the body of Anthony’s wife, Arletha, whom her family hadn’t heard from since 2004? This discovery would lead the police to uncover even more crimes committed by a man hiding behind the facade of arighteous pastor.Sources:https://www.wsfa.com/story/8802518/inside-a-murder-suspects-home/ https://www.foxnews.com/story/preacher-arrested-in-church-after-wifes-body-found-in-freezer https://www.al.com/topic/Anthony%20Hopkins/index.htmlhttps://www.foxnews.com/story/no-bond-for-preacher-in-body-in-freezer-casehttps://www.clarkecountydemocrat.com/articles/preacher-sentenced-another-pleads-guilty/https://www.bet.com/article/tewpbu/evangelist-on-trial-in-ala-in-wife-s-deathhttps://www.religionnewsblog.com/21925/preacher-anthony-hopkinshttps://6abc.com/archive/7454511/https://www.gainesville.com/story/news/2008/08/01/bond-denied-for-man-who-stored-wifes-body-in-freezer/31573227007/https://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/07/31/preacher.freezer/index.html https://www.cbsnews.com/news/man-pleads-not-guilty-in-frozen-body-death/https://www.deseret.com/2010/4/10/20107838/preacher-convicted-of-killing-wife-freezing-body/https://doc.alabama.gov/InmateHistory.aspxhttps://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna25934724https://www.tuscaloosanews.com/story/news/2010/04/10/ala-preacher-convicted-of-murder/27946034007/https://www.tuscaloosanews.com/story/news/2010/04/08/children-testify-about-moms-death/27945704007/https://paroles.alabama.gov/2023/08/18/parole-decisions-for-wednesday-august-16-2023/https://christianministryedu.org/faq/what-is-a-church-revival/
