Susan Powell was last seen on December 6, 2009. She and her husband of 8 years, Josh Powell, lived in West Valley City, Utah. In recent years their marriage had been strained due to financial issues and Joshâs detachment from his marriage. When the Powellâs two young sons, Charlie, 4, and Braden, 2, didnât show up at daycare and Susan didnât show up at work, their friends and family were instantly worried. Hours later, Josh was reached on his cell phone. He said heâd left at 1 am and taken his sons camping despite the cold and snowy conditions while Susan stayed home. Josh assumed she went to work.
